Lumina Health Innovations is a Toronto-based startup focused on democratizing access to specialized healthcare across rural Canada.
The Challenge
Patients in remote areas struggled with complex booking flows and poor video call quality in the previous MVP. Additionally, ensuring strict compliance with HIPAA and PIPEDA regulations while maintaining a seamless user experience was a critical hurdle.
Our Solution
We built a native cross-platform mobile app using Flutter to ensure consistency across iOS and Android. We integrated Twilio Programmable Video for high-definition secure video calls and implemented end-to-end encryption for all patient data and chat history.
